See the feedback from those who are using the card and enjoying its benefits:

→ I was first issued an SBI SimplySAVE card that had 10x rewards on dining/cerinary spending. My spending in those categories was never elevated to earn more reward points. I thought about applying for another card and came to learn from the customer service executive that a person can only have one SBI card.

And if you want to have more than one, you can apply for a co-branded SBI card like Air India Signature Card or Air India Platinum Card and the like. Since I didn’t want an extra card, I was browsing through the SBI card catalog. I came through the SimplyCLICK card which was introduced the following week after my SimplySAVE card was approved. ←

  • Annual Fee: Rs.499+ ST;
  • Welcome Gift: Rs.500 Amazon Voucher;
  • Renewal fees: Rs.499+ ST (waived off on 1 Lakh INR Spend);
  • The card comes in two variants Visa Platinum and Mastercard Titanium (I am not sure about Mastercard variant and the information is as available on the internet). Both are international cards and come with cross currency mark up of 3.5%..

Fuel Benefit on SBI SimplyCLICK Card

SBI SimplyCLICK Credit Card also offers 1% fuel surcharge waiver on transactions of Rs. 500 to Rs. 3,000. This waiver can be availed at all petrol pumps across the country. The maximum waiver per card per statement cycle has been capped at Rs. 100.

Though this fuel benefit is not much as compared to the fuel-centric credit cards in the market, it is suited for those who have minimal fuel needs in a month and do not have any other card with fuel surcharge waiver.

Milestone Benefit

You can get e-vouchers of Rs. 2,000 each on reaching spending milestones of Rs. 1 Lakh and 2 Lakh. The voucher will be from Cleartrip and will be sent to your registered mobile number in the statement succeeding the one in which you reach the set spending milestone.

Reasonable Annual Fee and Reversal Cap

For a credit card with basic features, the annual fee of Rs. 499 is reasonable. Also, on spending Rs. 1 lakh in a year, the fee will be reversed. You may find other credit cards in the market with similar or lower annual fees and better terms and conditions.

However, the eligibility terms related to income and occupation may be strict for those cards making it difficult for a lot of people to get approved for those cards. Hence we can say that the Rs. 499 annual fee for SBI SimplyCLICK Credit Card is justified in accordance with the benefits that the card offers.

Other Benefits of SBI SimplyCLICK Credit Card

  • Joining Fee: INR 499+ taxes and an annual fee of INR 499+ taxes (this fee nullifies on a spend of INR 10,0000). This fee can be considered to be reasonable as you get Amazon gift vouchers of the same amount that you can redeem;
  • Eligibility: The age of the person applying should be between 18-60 years. For a salaried person, the income should be INR 20,000 per month and for self-employed the income requirement is 30,000 per month.

Reward Points:

  • You can earn 10X Reward Points on online spends with Amazon, Apollo24X7, BookMyShow, Cleartrip, Dineout, Lenskart and Netmeds;
  • 5X Reward Points are given on all other online spends;
  • 1 Reward Points per INR 100 on all other spends.
